About Carameru
Carameru is a home for the recipes you actually cook. It brings your recipes, your weekly meal plan and your shopping list together in one place, so deciding what to eat and buying what you need takes minutes instead of an evening.
What you can do with Carameru
- Write down your own recipes with ingredients, steps, photos and video, organized into sections such as the main dish, a side or a salsa.
- Discover recipes shared by other cooks, search by ingredient, rate them and leave comments with photos.
- Plan breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks on a calendar, including meal-prep dishes that last several days.
- Turn a recipe or a whole week of meals into a shopping list, scaled to the portions you planned, and share it with whoever does the shopping.
- Follow other cooks and get notified when they publish something new.
- Use it in English or Spanish: recipes can be translated so each reader sees them in their own language.
Who it is for
Carameru is built for everyday home cooks: people who cook for themselves or their family, keep a rotation of favourite dishes and want less friction between “what should we eat?” and a full fridge. It is especially at home with Mexican and Latin American cooking, but every cuisine is welcome.
Where it runs
Carameru is available on the web at carameru.app and as apps for Android and iOS. Your account, recipes, plans and lists stay in sync across all of them.
Free to use
Browsing, saving, writing recipes, planning meals and building shopping lists are free. Optional Plus and Pro plans remove ads and add AI-powered extras such as importing a recipe from a photo or drafting a meal plan from your own library.
Content and community
Recipes on Carameru are written by the people who cook them. Authors own their recipes and choose whether their profile is public or private. If you see something that breaks our Terms of Service, let us know through the contact page and we will review it.
